NOMOS Glashütte is an owner-operated, independent company, founded in 1990 by Roland Schwertner. The company headquarters are located in Glashütte—the traditional home of German watchmaking. NOMOS senior management team was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit in 2024 for the company's commitment to democracy and openness to diversity, as well as for its significant contribution to the international reputation of the watchmaking town.

Calibers from Deutsche Uhrenwerke NOMOS Glashütte, or DUW for short, tick inside watches from NOMOS Glashütte. Hand-wound and automatic movements, developed in-house and manufactured in the company’s own workshops—each one a unique piece with specific characteristics, as well as innovative, thin, and finely regulated in six positions.
